This project brief was to create qualitative information design posters surrounding social issues. We were challenged to use pictures, illustration, and typography to convey our message. My poster topic centers around plastic pollution, urging people to stop plastic pollution before it smothers us. The poster features a head being smothered by a plastic bag which has the overlayed text sending a direct message to the viewers. The limited color palette helps the image and the message pop, as well as adds to the scary message being depicted; if we don’t stop plastic pollution it’s going to kill us.
